Dakota Granite's products and craftsmanship has been featured in the South Dakota Governor's mansion. Donated blocks from the actual Crazy Horse monument were the canvas for precision. Dakota Granite's staff worked closely with the architects and planners to preserve the original paint marks featuring them as a hallmark on the fireplace's signature mantel piece. 220 square feet of countertop throughout the mansion featured Dakota Granite's "Dakota Mahogany". It was important to the Governor, the First Lady and the architects that materials were selected to ensure their beauty for generations to come.
